Evening and Weekend Cook

The Ursuline Centre is looking to hire a motivated and experienced cook to help fill out our accomplished staff in hosting the 77th annual Summer Orientation Program for the Montana Association of the Blind. Works dates are approximately May 28th through June 30th, 40 hours a week.

  • Work Dates: May 28 – June 30, 2024
  • Monday – Friday: 4:00-8:00pm
  • Saturday-Sunday: 11:00am-7:00pm
  • Preparing preset and planned meals for approximately 30-35 program attendees
     (cafeteria style).
  • Be able to lift 20-30 lbs
  • Run an automated dishwasher
  • Perform light housekeeping duties in dining room and kitchen
  • Food preparation for the next day’s menu
  • Must pass a background check

Kitchen Assistant

The Ursuline Centre has an opening for a part-time kitchen’s assistant beginning in May, 2024. The position entails assisting the kitchen manager prepare meals and beverage service, conducting general housekeeping duties in the kitchen and dining room, running an automated dishwasher, prep other light meal items such as salads and dishes.

The position is a part-time position, beginning primarily in the afternoon 4:00-7:00pm, beginning May 28 – June 30, 2024. AFTER June 30th, the position will be a part-time mix of day and evening shifts throughout the year. The position requires being able to occasionally lift 35-45 pounds, being on your feet throughout the shift, and pass a background check. We offer a competitive starting wage. Beginning hourly wage depends on experience.

Janitorial and Maintenance

The Ursuline Centre currently has an opening for a part-time or full-time maintenance/custodial position. Perform a broad range of janitorial and maintenance at the Ursuline Centre. Responsible for managing and monitoring a low- pressure steam boiler. Responsible for meeting room set up and tear down, moving tables, chairs and furniture as needed. Will dump garbage’s, clean restrooms, sweep and mop floors, and other janitorial duties as needed. Assist with all types of general building repairs to include painting and miscellaneous light repair work. Responsible for seasonal maintenance such as snow removal, sweeping walks, watering and mowing grass, trimming hedges, and other incidental seasonal tasks. Must be able to work independently. We offer a competitive starting wage. Beginning hourly wage depends on experience.

  • Maintain cleanliness of building exteriors and grounds upkeeping
  • Maintain cleanliness of building interior
  • Low-pressure steam boiler experience preferred but not necessary
  • Communicate with office staff on setup needs and general repairs
  • Carpentry, plumbing and repair skills and knowledge preferred
  • Paint structures, walls, and other items
  • Ability to make sound decisions with attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to follow-through on tasks and work independently
  • Able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs. with assistance as necessary
  • Ability to do strenuous activities requiring physical stamina, including lifting, climbing, and bending
  • Director other maintenance staff
  • Must have valid driver’s license
